There are works of art that make history, and there are those that become history themselves. Robert Indiana's "LOVE" undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. When the image first saw the light of day in 1966, it immediately became the visual soundtrack of an entire generation—a symbol of "Peace & Love," of MoMA, and of the revolutionary spirit of the 1960s.

The work offered here is an excellently executed color serigraph based on this world-famous original design. It depicts the classic, and probably best-known, color variant: the vibrant red of the letters against the cool blue and green of the background. The iconic, slanted "O" breaks up the rigid geometry and lends the word that architectural sculptural quality for which Indiana became famous.

This work impresses not only with its striking decorative presence but also with its status as a hand-signed and numbered collector's item (copy 10/200). Even though it is an edition "after" the historical motif, the signature sets it apart from the mass of mere art prints. The sturdy card stock and the rich application of ink (serigraphy) underscore its value. It is an opportunity to bring the "Mona Lisa of Pop Art" into your own home in an exclusive collector's edition – timeless, radical, and brimming with positive energy.
